IN response to the ongoing fighting between government forces and insurgents that has displaced thousands of people in Zamboanga City, cyclists from Metro Manila and its environs are set to take part in a night ride for peace on Saturday (September 21).

The event, co-organized by Firefly Brigade- Philippines and Earthdance, is in support of a “A Nation for Peace, An International Day of Peace Prayer Vigil” by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process to be held at the, Quezon Memorial Circle.  It is open to the public and will proceed rain or shine.

Assembly starts at 2:30 p.m. at the NBC Tent at the Bonifacio Global City. Participants would be given T-shirts, leg bands, meal stubs and baller bands on a first-come, first-served basis.

The riders will be biking a 25km route while carrying the peace torch and since it is a night ride, the Firefly Brigade urges riders to wear blinkers, reflective items, horns, whistles and lights.
