KOBE Bryant may not be playing in the Olympics this coming August, but there’s a good chance his presence will be felt in Rio de Janeiro thanks to the latest version of the retired Lakers legend's signature shoes.

Nike announced a 'USA' colorway for the Black Mamba’s Zoom Kobe 11, dubbed '4th of July.' The new colorway pays homage to Bryant's gold-medal winning participation with the Team USA in 2008 and 2012, as noted in a red, white and blue emblem on the heel.

The low top basketball performance shoe has a color palette inspired by the US flag. The flyknit upper and tongue is in white while the rear and lateral part of silhouette is in tonal blue. The trademark Swoosh logo is in university red and as is the inner section of the heel tabs. The bold colors are tempered by an icy blue transparent outsole.

Bryant also wore the shoes during his recent trip to Manila when he met fans in his Mamba Mentality Tour Night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Saturday.

The new colorway will be released in selected Nike stores on July 2 (July 3 in Manila), which will sell for $220.
