F2 Logistics salvaged its first win at the expense of Cignal, 21-25, 25-11, 24-26, 25-18, 15-11, in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan on Thursday.
American reinforcements Hayley Spelman and Sidney Kemper led the way for the Cargo Movers, who snapped a two-game losing skid.
“Medyo hindi pa magkakakilala so siguro more training so kailangan pa mag-jell ng team,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus, whose team played complete for the first time.
“So nakita ko meron nang attack, siguro more on floor defense kami kasi hindi makakuha ng break point,” he added.
Spelman and Kemper worked together to push the Cargo Movers at match point, 14-9, before back-to-back errors gave hope to the HD Spikers but Mika Reyes’ soft tip handed the win to F2 Logistics.
The All-Filiipino champions gave Cignal and comebacking Venus Bernal a rude welcome in the import-flavored conference.
