LA Salle scored its second victory in as many matches and kept National University winless in the new season with a 25-22, 25-12, 25-15 rout on Wednesday in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Skipper Ara Galang scored 15 points, while Kim Dy added 10 for La Salle, which came up with more organized plays this time after an unimpressive four-set win in the opener against Adamson.

Cyd Demecillo and Mika Reyes had six points each.

Coach Ramil de Jesus saw improvements from the last match, but stressed that the Lady Spikers can do much better.

“May mga kailangan pang i-develop, may mga times na na-off ang mga bata, pero masaya na ako sa nilaro nila,” said De Jesus.

La Salle hit 11 service aces against NU, which only had one courtesy of Rizza Mandapat.
