STILL clueless with what to do three matches into her stint as University of Sto. Tomas team captain, Sisi Rondina vowed to learn the ropes as she goes along.

The Tigresses scored their first win of the season by dominating University of the East on Wednesday, but it hardly impressed coach Kungfu Reyes who is still waiting for someone to step up as team leader.

Rondina took the blame although she still is at a loss on how she can lead the Tigresses, who started the season with back-to-back losses.

“Aminado naman ako na may pagkukulang talaga ako sa pagiging leader,” said the spiker from Cebu.

“Always ko naman siya wino-work out para ma-feel ko din na dapat ganito 'yung responsibility ko, na kahit hindi lang sa akin dapat, ikaw 'yung dapat magsimula,” she added.

Rondina was named skipper before the tournament even as former captain Pam Lastimosa returned to the UST lineup after a season out due to a knee injury.

She said she has consulted former Tigresses stars and is hoping to do better as leader on Sunday when they take on University of the Philippines, co-leader with National University at 3-0.

“Oo, kila Ate Rhea, kila Ate Maika, sa mga alumni namin, always akong nagtatanong nang mga dapat kong gawin,” she said, referring to UST stars ad UAAP champions Rhea Dimaculangan and Maika Ortiz.
