SHAYA Adorador and the University of the East Lady Warriors finished the season with a flourish, downing a disjointed Adamson Lady Falcons side, 25-17, 25-22, 29-27, on Wednesday in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
The result ended almost four years of frustration for UE, registering its first victory after 58 losses dating to Season 74.
The Lady Warriors still finish at the bottom of the standings, but somehow get some boost in morale. The last time they won was over National University, a five-setter on January 28, 2012.
Adamson, meanwhile, would up next to last with a 3-11 win-loss record, finishing with seven straight defeats.
