SAN Sebastian College remained unscathed and secured the first semis spot with an easy victory over University of Perpetual Help, 25-22, 25-13, 25-13, in the NCAA Season 92 women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Reigning back-to-back MVP Grethcel Soltones fired 18 points, all from attacks, to carry the Recto-based squad to a perfect 7-0 win-loss slate. The Lady Stags also moved two wins closer to repeating last year’s feat of an outright Finals berth armed with a thrice-to-beat advantage.

Joyce Sta. Rita and Katherine Villegas also helped Soltones on offense as they combined for 14 points for SSC.

Lourdes Clemente made 10 points for Perpetual Help, which dropped to 3-3 and moved on the brink of missing the Final Four.

Meanwhile, in men’s division, reigning champions Perpetual Help romped to its third straight win at the expense of SSC, 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.

The Las Pinas-based spikers improved to a 4-1 slate at fourth spot, while SSC slid to 3-3 tied with Lyceum of the Philippines University.
