Myla Pablo bags MVP, Best Outside Spiker awards in PVL Open

POCARI Sweat top hitter Myla Pablo was given the MVP award and first Best Outside Spiker title for the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Saturday.

Pablo, who had a total of 143 total points, beat University of the Philippines hitter Diana Carlos by a point in the scoring category.

The former National University ace also finished second in attacks with a 39.75% success rate behind Pau Soriano of Creamline (41.84%).

The spiker from Tarlac was ninth spot in blocks with an average of 0.42 per set.

Grethcel Soltones of BaliPure was the Second Best Outside Spiker.

Jeannette Panaga of Pocari Sweat was awarded First Best Middle Blocker while Risa Sato of BaliPure was the Second Best Middle Blocker.

Iari Yongco of Philippine Air Force was named Best Opposite Hitter, Mel Gohing was the Best Libero and Jia Morado of Creamline was the Best Setter.

Morado, who averaged 13 excellent sets per frame, edged BaliPure’s Jasmine Nabor (11.28).
