CREAMLINE kept alive its chances of salvaging a podium spot with a 25-16, 25-21, 25-19 victory over Air Force in the opener of the battle for third spot in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.

The Cool Smashers snapped a two-match skid and look to claim the bronze in the second match of the best-of-three series on Wednesday.

Pau Soriano and Rosemarie Vargas finished with 11 points apiece for Creamline, while Cesca Racraquin and Rizza Mandapat chipped in eight markers, respectively.

Best Setter Jia Morado came up with all of the team’s 34 excellent sets in the one hour and 19-minute match.

May Ann Pantino scored seven points for Air Force.
