Arellano clobbers winless Letran to keep slate unblemished in NCAA men's volleyball

ARELLANO University claimed the solo top spot in the NCAA Season 93 men’s volleyball tournament after it defeated Letran, 25-16, 25-12, 25-15, on Friday at The Arena in San Juan.

Kevin Liberato and John Cabillan each had 12 points and Demy Lapuz had 11 markers to tow the Chiefs to their third win in as many matches.

Liberato led a block party for AU, which had 11 total rejections. He had five blocks, while the entire Letran squad had four in a match that took an hour to finish.

Skipper Bobby Gatdula made 11 points for Letran, which dropped to 0-3.
