8th Lago de Oro Cup
Over 60 wakeboarders and wakeskaters flocked to Calatagan, Batangas to compete in the 8th Lago de Oro Perpetual Cup.

  • Kelsey Albano finished first overall in the Novice Wakeboard Division for ladies.

  • Symon Cantos, pictured flipping through the air, won the advanced division of Stoked Inc. Rip Asian Wake Park Tour back in November 2011. He finished third in the men's open division in this event.
  • Wakeskater Susan Larsson was the only female in the advanced category. She won the women's wakeskating competition in the Bohol Wakefest 2012 held at Pandahon Island.
  • Marc Rosales bested ten other wakeskaters to emerge as champion in the Men's Novice Wakeskate Division.
  • Moe Gomez won the wakeskating open category thanks to his smooth moves on the water.
  • Australian Collin 'Croc' Sauvarin is the man in charge of Lago de Oro, the first resort in the Philippines to have a cable ski park. He says national and international wakeboarding competitions are scheduled to take place at the resort.
  • Judges Marco, Obet, and Bryan said their method of scoring favored spins over flips.
