PERLAS Pilipinas kept its medal hopes alive with a 55-45 victory over Indonesia on Sunday in the women’s basketball competitions of the 2013 Southeast Asian Games in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

The Philippine women’s team scored its second win in three outings to stay within striking distance of leaders defending champion Thailand and Malaysia, which are playing as of posting time.

Perlas Pilipinas bounced back from a lopsided 75-36 loss to Thailand last Tuesday.

Cassy Tioseco led the Filipina cagers with 12 points, while reigning UAAP Most Valuable Player Camille Sambile added 11 markers. Analyn Almazan and Chovi Borja each had eight points.
