ARCHAND Christian Bagsit won a second gold medal in the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar after spearheading the PH 4x400m relay team to a smashing finish Thursday night.
Bagsit joined forces with Isidro Del Prado Jr., Edgardo Alejan, and Julius Nierras to clock three minutes, 9.32 seconds and beat Thailand (3:09.81) for the gold at the Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex.
Malaysia settled for the bronze medal (3:15.06).
Bagsit earlier won the gold in the 400m run.
"I knew that when I got into the straight, victory was already within reach," said Bagsit.
The athletics team has already won six gold medals in this year's edition of the biennial meet.
