Former US Open champions Graeme McDowell and Jim Furyk share the lead while Tiger Woods
nosedived after a disastrous third round in the 112th US Open on Sunday at Olympic Club in
San Francisco.
McDowell, winner of the Open in 2010 at Pebble Beach, bogeyed No. 9 but had three birdies on
the back nine including a four-foot putt on No. 18.
2003 champion Furyk, in a three-way tie at the top spot after Friday's play, had an even-par
70 that featured a bogey on the 16th and a 15-foot birdie putt on the 17th.
The two were the only players under par for the tournament at one-under 209.
Woods, overnight leader with Furyk and David Toms, hit six bogeys against a lone birdie for
a 75 and joint 14th place at four-over 214.
Toms also had a bad day and carded a 76 to slip to a share of 18th place at 215.
