Global seeks to reclaim the United Football League First Division lead while Philippine Air Force tries to act as the spoiler when they face off on Saturday at the Rizal Stadium.
Only three teams remain in the title hunt in the tournament's final stretch, with Kaya (39 points) atop and Global (38) and Loyola Meralco (35) in second and third, respectively.
Kaya FC overtook Global at the top after a 2-1 victory over Pasargad on Thursday night.
Global, owned by Philippine Azkals manager Dan Palami, cannot afford to lose in the 2 p.m. match against the sixth-running Airmen, who remain dangerous as they have nothing to lose.
National team members Angel Guirado, Carli de Murga, Rob Gier, Marwin Angeles and Misagh Bahadoran banner Global, but it was Sudanese striker Izo El-Habbib who shone brightest in their last game against Stallion after scoring a brace.
The Airmen will be led by homegrown Azkals Chieffy Caligdong and Ian Araneta.
Both clubs are coming off victories with Global convincingly defeating Stallion, 3-1, on Tuesday and the Airmen beating the Sparks, 2-1, on Wednesday.
Four second-division games are featured at the University of Makati field on the same day, highlighted by the 4 p.m. match between leaders Pachanga and Diliman Victory Liner.
It’s actually a no-bearing game as Pachanga already clinched the crown last week to guarantee itself promotion to Division 1 next season.
