Aug 23, 2012

FILIPINO-American Mark Streigl stakes his unbeaten record when he takes on Guam’s Robert “The Real Deal” Wusstig in a featherweight match in Pacific Xtreme Combat 33 on September 1 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The 24-year-old Streigl scored eight of his 10 wins via stoppage, the most recent a first-round submission by rear naked choke on newcomer Alcer Lozada (1-2 win-loss) in the Universal Reality Combat Championship 21 – Warpath in April.

Streigl, who resides and trains in Baguio City and has fought in various MMA events in Japan, Hong Kong Macau and the Philippines, has signed a multi-fight deal with PXC and makes his debut against Wusstig.

The Guamanian, who debuted with a win in PXC 14 in 2008, has won his last two fights but lost the previous five. He most recently beat Thaddeus Malbreaux (1-2) in PXC 30 in March and before that won a split decision over erstwhile unbeaten Shane Alvarez (7-1) in Trench Warz 15.
