The pool star from Surigao avenged his 5-9 group stage loss to Kong that sent him to the losers' side of the draw.
The former world 8-ball titlist defeated compatriot Raymound Faraon, 9-2, in Group 15 on Tuesday to get back on track.
Orcollo led a host of Filipinos who emerged from the losers’ bracket to join the likes of Efren “Bata” Reyes, Francisco “Django” Bustamante and Ronnie Alcano in the knockout stages.
Jundel Mazon beat Shane Van Boening, 9-4, in Group 3 while Elvis Calasang defeated Al Amar Abdul Rahman of Saudi Arabia, 9-7, in Group 11.
Marlon Caneda also extended his campaign, outclassing Ceri Worts of New Zealand, 9-3, in Group 14.
Joven Alba and Israel Rota booked seats in the round-of-64 from Group 16 as he defeated Afou Nayf Abdel of Jordan, 9-5, and Rota downed David Anderson of Russia, 9-7.
The tournament moves into the knockout stages with a race-to-11, alternate break format matches.
The champion will receive US$ 40,000 with the runner-up taking home US$20,000 from the total pot of US$300,000.
