Amit finally runs out of luck, bows out in qfinals

RUBILEN Amit failed in her for the 2013 WPA China Open 9-ball crown in Shanghai following a lopsided 2-9 loss to hometown bet Chen Siming on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.

Amit’s luck finally ran out against Chen after her thrilling 9-8 victory over Yu Ram Cha when her Korean opponent missed the 9-ball in the final rack of the match.

The Filipina pool star reached the quarterfinals after going into the loser’s side in her opening game against Fu Xiao Fang, 5-7, in Group H.

Liu Shasha made it an all-China affair for the title after defeating Allison Fisher in the other semifinal pairing.
