THE UAAP announced the postponement of Wednesday’s women’s and seniors basketball games at the Smart Araneta Coliseum due to inclement weather.
“Due to the bad weather and floods all over, UAAP games for Wednesday, August 8, 2012, are hereby postponed,” said UAAP secretary treasurer Junel Baculi in a text message.
The games will be rescheduled at a later date.
Affected were matches between La Salle and Adamson at 2 p.m. and University of Santo Tomas against University of the East at 4 p.m.
Also postponed were the women’s games between UST and Ateneo and University of the Philippines and Far Eastern University.
UST was aiming for its third straight victory against winless UE while La Salle and Adamson looked to break their losing slides in their match-up.
It will be the second time a UST game was postponed after the Tigers’ match-up against University of the Philippines last August 15 was called off due to tropical storm ‘Ferdie.’
The UAAP had earlier cancelled Tuesday’s juniors basketball games at the San Juan Arena due to bad weather.
