LA Tenorio said he is taking full responsibility for Barangay Ginebra's awful start to the PBA Philippine Cup which saw the the Gin Kings fall to Air21, 74-70 on Sunday night at the Big Dome.
"As one of the veterans in the team, I take full responsibility sa loss namin," Tenorio told Spin.ph after the team's practice at Xavier gym. "But definitely I'll bounce back."
The cat-quick guard out of Ateneo had a rough debut on Sunday, finishing with just three points, all coming from free throws. He was 0-of-11 from the field n the game overall.
"Kung naka-score lang ako ng kahit seven points, panalo pa sana kami. Ginawa ko talaga lahat pero talagang bad game," said the Kings' starting guard.
He said he's also aware that the Gin Kings' import Herbert Hill had a rough outing as well after finishing the game with just 17 points.
But he knows they just can't rely solely on Hill, who was badly outclassed by Air21's Michael Dunigan.
"Kailangan din naman namin siyang (Hill) tulungan. He needs our support," said Tenorio.
Ginebra, under new coach Alfrancis Chua, faces much-improved Globalport on Friday.
