ALASKA import Bill Walker and Meralco veteran forward Danny Ildefonso figured in a tussle early in the fourth quarter of a heated and physical tune-up match on Tuesday at the Meralco gym.
The fight erupted when Ildefonso - intentionally or not - appeared to have hit Walker with an elbow while trying to set a pick, prompting the Alaska import to respond by throwing the ball at the Bolts veteran.
Ildefonso retaliated by throwing a punch at Walker before players and officials from both sides spilled onto the court to break up the fight.
Witnesses also saw Meralco gunner Gary David trying to sneak in a punch at Walker before cooler heads prevailed.
Meralco was comfortably ahead, 100-84, with 7:13 to go in the tuneup game when the incident happened.
Ildefonso, David and Walker were all slapped with flagrant fouls penalty two and face a summon from the Commissioner's Office.
