NATIONAL University has finally scored back-to-back victories in the UAAP, somewhat of a surprise considering the team’s inconsistency. The one constant in the squad is main man Bobby Ray Parks’ contributions.

Parks leads the league in scoring with 18.3 points per game and in assists at 5.3 average. The 6-foot-4 guard also recently powered the Bulldogs to their first consecutive wins -- enough to win Player of the Week honors.

Last Thursday, Parks starred as the Bulldogs rallied from 13 points down to shock the erstwhile unbeaten Far Eastern University, 61-57.

Parks buried 17 markers, including six of NU’s last seven points, to lead the Bulldogs to the victory that snapped the Tamaraws’ four-game winning streak. The son of seven-time PBA Best Import Bobby Parks also grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists in the upset win.

Three days later, Parks teamed up with Cameroonian Emmanuel Mbe in towing the Bulldogs to a 77-62 drubbing of Adamson. Parks delivered 12 points, 11 boards and five assists for the Bulldogs.
