ADAMSON star Alex Nuyles is out for the rest of the UAAP season owing to a recurring shoulder injury.

Nuyles, a member of last season’s Mythical Five, posted on his Twitter account that he's set to undergo surgery on his dislocated right shoulder which he incurred during the Falcons’ 62-77 loss to National University.

“Will undergo a shoulder operation soon. Praying everything goes well..,” Nuyles wrote on his Twitter account @NuylesAlex.

“To those who are asking I won't be able to play this season anymore,” Nuyles added.

“It will be very hard for me to leave the team in the middle of the season. But I have to do what I have to do,” he added.

It was not the first time Nuyles dislocated his shoulder as he has either been sidelined or played hurt during Adamson’s stints in the UAAP, PBA D-League, and Filoil Cup.

So far, Adamson has been struggling with a 1-3 win-loss record and is one defeat away from matching its total losses last season.

Adamson coach Leo Austria, however, remained optimistic the Falcons can still salvage the campaign despite Nuyles' season-ending surgery.
