TOP players from the professional and amateur ranks as well as cage buffs from the world of show business have signed up for Asi Taulava’s charity match for victims of floods that had ravaged Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
The Meralco Bolts star's charity game, billed ‘Built Upon The Rock,’ will be held on August 26, 7 p.m. at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, with the proceeds going to relief efforts.
The PBA board, meeting in Macau, has given the green light for the charity match while the Commissioner’s Office has promised to provide referees and table officials for free.
Rizal Governor Junjun Ynares has also waived charges for the use of the venue.
Aside from Taulava, seeing action in the game are Arwind Santos and Dondon Hontiveros of Petron, Taulava’s teammate Mark Cardona, PBA draftees Chris Tiu and Cliff Hodge and actor Carlos Agassi.
Mark Barroca, Doug Kramer, Chris Lutz, Paolo Hubalde, Renren Ritualo, Ken Bono, Billy Mamaril, Alex Crisano, Beau Belga and RJ Rizada have also committed to play in the charity match organized by James and Griffin Multimedia in cooperation with the PBA, Atleta and Swatch.
Tickets will be available on Monday priced at P1,000, P500, P200 and P100.
