Rookie Jan Acebron is a former Manuel L. Quezon University Stallion who is third in the pecking order of shooting guards behind Nikki Monteclaro and Jorem Morada. 

Franz Chiong is the Generals’ backup point guard behind John Tayongtong. The Generals need Chiong, who is playing his fourth NCAA season, to deliver quality minutes after showing erratic play manning the point. He played in 17 games last year, averaging 4.5 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.6 rebounds in 15.4 minutes.

Noube Happi is EAC’s first-ever Cameroonian recruit. The 6-foot-7 rookie starts at power forward and provides the Generals with much-needed rebounding and defense. He can also contribute with putbacks, but the 21-year-old Happi needs to polish other scoring moves to be considered an offensive threat.

Jan Jamon was EAC’s leading scorer last season with 13.7 points per game. The 6-foot-3 swingman from Laguna also averaged 4.7 boards, and 1.9 assists. He is in his third year in the NCAA.

Igee King is the Generals’ second option at small forward. Son of former pro Abe King, the 6-foot-1 swingman from Seattle was a highly-touted recruit last year. The 19-year-old King fared below expectations, averaging just 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds, but the Filipino-American has shown potential in the recent summer tournaments.

Jeff Mallari is part of EAC’s rookie class this year. A 6-foot-4 big man, the burly Mallari is the Generals’ third-string center this season behind Rafael Sanchez and Dom Pillas.

Despite missing all of Season 87 due to injury, the 5-foot-11 Nikki Monteclaro gets the job as starting shooting guard this year. The left-handed Monteclaro, who averaged 7.2 minutes in five games in his rookie year in 2010, has shown he can knock down the occasional three and play as emergency ball handler.

Jorem Morada is the Generals’ backup shooting guard. The 5-foot-11 swingman had one huge game, scoring 28 points against Arellano, but he finished Season 87 with averages of 5.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 13.5 minutes.

A former San Beda Red Cub, Francis Munsayac is the NCAA’s shortest player at 5’5”. Despite his small frame, the 18-year-old Marikina-born point guard stands tall with his solid playmaking skills.

Dom Pillas, the Generals’ backup center, is one of NCAA’s tallest local players. After playing for Santa Clara International Academy in Antipolo, the 6-foot-7 Pillas looks to assert his presence in the country’s oldest collegiate league.

Rap Sanchez is the Generals’ starting center. A benchwarmer in his first two years in the NCAA, the 6-foot-5 Pampanga-born big man is finally getting the chance to prove his worth this season. He played in 17 games in Season 87, averaging a paltry 1.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in 11.4 minutes.
