THERE are only two games remaining in the 2013 PBA Commissioner’s Cup eliminations which will end Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum:
5:15 p.m. Rain or Shine vs. Meralco
7:30 p.m. Talk ‘N Text vs Petron Blaze
Here are the things that have already been cast in stone after the results of last Sunday’s games:
1) The eight-team cast for the quarterfinals or first round of the playoffs has been set.
2) Barako Bull and Globalport are eliminated.
3) Alaska and Rain or Shine will be the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively, in the playoffs and will have twice-to-beat advantages in the quarterfinals against the Nos. 8 and 7 teams, again respectively.
4) The only certain quarterfinal pairing is No. 1 Alaska vs. No. 8 Air21.
5) The rankings that will be determined based on the results of the last two games on Wednesday are Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
6) The two best-of-three quarterfinals pitting 4-vs-5 and 3-vs-6 will begin Friday, April 19, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
7) The two other quarterfinals pitting No. 1 Alaska against No. 8 Air21 and No. 2 Rain or Shine against the No. 7 team will commence on Saturday, April 20, at the MOA Arena.
