Ramon Fernandez takes job as PSC commissioner under chairman Butch Ramirez

Four-time PBA MVP, former commissioer of the defunct home-and-away league MBA and supporter of president Rodrigo Duterte, Ramon Fernandez wil serve commissioner of the government's sports arm. 

BASKETBALL legend Ramon Fernandez is going to the Philippine Sports Commission after all.

Fernandez has accepted the post as one of the commissioners of the government sports agency, which will be headed by William “Butch” Ramirez.

Fernandez was initially offered the job as PSC chairman by incoming president Rodrigo Duterte but he declined.

Ramirez and Fernandez are expected to meet with outgoing chairman Richie Garcia on Tuesday, according to reports.

Three more commissioners will be appointed to fill the PSC board before July 1.
