Jobim Carlos leads 19 Filipinos earning PGT Asia Tour cards
Jobim Carlos fires a closing 67 to finish at 282.

THAILAND’s Pasavee Lertvilai fired second straight 69 and topped the PGT Asia Tour qualifying tournament at the Luisita Golf and Country Club course in Tarlac.

Lertvilai finished at 13-under 275, five ahead of Seungjae Maeng of the US, shot a closing 69.

Jobim Carlos was the best-placed Filipino, firing a bogey-free 67 to tie three others for at third with a 282 total.

The top 60 and ties, including 19 Filipinos, from the starting field of 160 earned cards to the newest regional circuit put up by ICTSI and organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc.

The PGTA fires off with the Aboitiz Invitational on Tuesday at Southwoods.

John Michael O’Toole of the US fired a 74, Korean-American Micah Shin carded a 68 and Indonesia’s Joshua Wirawan shot a 69 to also finish at 282.

Elki Kow, also from Indonesia, shot a 67 and shared seventh place at 283 with another local bet Rey Pagunsan, who carded a 69.
