OKC Takes Game 1!
« on: June 13, 2012, 05:00:50 AM »
OKC kept within striking distance for most of the game and then took over in the 4th. Great team effort by the Thunder as everybody contributed. Collison was huge off the bench with 8 pts and 10 rebs. Sefalosha's defense was also commendable.

I still think this is going to be a seven game series. Can't decide which team to root for  ::) I actually wanted the Spurs to win it all.

Series tied at 1-1! Great showing by Durant, especially on that stepback three-pointer to close the gap. Up by just two points with about 35 secs left, Lebron ran down the clock and settled for a contested 3 from the top of the arc that missed, giving OKC one last chance to tie or win the game. Lucky for him he a foul wasn't called on Durant's shot off a spin and Bron hit the FT's to ice the game 100-96. This will go the full 7 games with Miami taking the trophy.

I agree with you spinsanity that this series will be played up to the seventh game.

But I'm picking OKC to win the championship.

I notice they are putting Lebron in post up situations a lot more. Glad to see he is finally taking advantage of his superior physique and athleticism and is taking his defenders to school. Still, he only made 1/2 FT's like last time in the closing seconds but nonetheless iced the game for the HEAT. MIA in 6 or 7 yan :P Same old problem for OKC = STILL TOO YOUNG. Their time will come :P

@kev_b

exactly! they are a gifted bunch but this is their first time in the finals while the heat are back for the second consecutive year. although a case could be made for them since they beat the spurs who are the most experienced among the remaining playoff teams prior to the finals. but miami has a trio of superstars so i give the nod to them.
