Curt Dizon stamps mark as first goal scorer in Philippines Football League as FC Meralco Manila rips Stallion Laguna

CURT Dizon made his mark as first to score a goal in the Philippines Football League, leading FC Meralco Manila top a 5-1 drubbing of Stallion Laguna F.C. on Saturday at the Binan Football Stadium.

Dizon needed just nine minutes to etch his name on the books as he opened the flood gates for the visiting side.

Ryota Ishikawa leveled the game for the hosts in the 30th minute but the floodgates soon opened for Meralco.

Tahj Minniecon pushed Manila back up top six minutes after.

Milan Nikolic' scored off a free kick in the 47th minute before the Younghusband brothers finished the hosts for good by scoring a goal apiece.

James Younghusband scored in the 58th minute while Phil wrapped things up with a finish up close in the 90th as the visiting side got away with all three points.

With the draw between Kaya and Ceres, Meralco moves to the heap of the table after the first match day.
