WWE programming finds new home in TV5 and its affiliate cable channels

Apr 18, 2017
WWE shows and fights will begin airing on TV5 on April 30.

WORLD Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) programming has found a new home in TV5, according to a statement posted on the network's social media accounts.

TV5 posted on its Twitter account a WWE logo and a #WWEonTV5 hashtag, hinting that it will begin showing WWE fights and shows starting on April 30.

TV5 president Chot Reyes confirmed the move in his own personal account.

TV5's announcement came a day after Fox Sports announced it will no longer show WWE programs after failing to reach an agreement for the TV rights of the premier wrestling outfit.

Until the parting of ways, Fox aired Raw and Smackdown Live every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings on Fox Sports as well as live pay-per-view events including Wrestlemania and other WWE programming.
