IT seems Manny Pacquiao’s sports endeavors stop at boxing and basketball.
The Filipino superstar thumbed down the possibility of trying out mixed martial arts despite becoming a ONE FC shareholder.
“Huwag na siguro,” Pacquiao said with a laugh on Tuesday during the press conference for the Rexona Training Camp when asked if he will make the jump into the world’s fastest-growing sport once he retires from boxing.
The only eight-division boxing champion, who makes his PBA coaching debut this October, has recently bought a stake in Asia’s biggest mixed martial arts organization.
But Pacquiao, also a Sarangani representative, said the move was purely a business investment in a sport that is threatening to unseat boxing as the world's top combat sport.
“Sosyo lang,” he smiled. “Baka biglang lumakas ang MMA eh.”
