GILAS Pilipinas coach Tab Baldwin would rather keep silent about reports he’s set to assume the coaching job at Ateneo.
“I have no comment at the moment about it,” said Baldwin when asked about the matter shortly after Talk ‘N Text’s 95-85 win over Rain or Shine Sunday in the Smart Bro-PBA Philippine Cup.
Baldwin serves as consultant of TNT.
A report that first came out in the Inquirer bared the New Zealander-American coach was named as the next coach of the Blue Eagles, succeeding Bo Perasol, whose three-year contract deal with the Katipunan-based school expired this year.
A meeting between Baldwin and Ateneo is reportedly set to be held within the week, although a source privy to the negotiations said ‘Baldwin is close to taking the job.’
