TNT Katropa has decided to make an import change despite its unbeaten start in the PBA Governors’ Cup.
The Texters, who have won their first four games to stand at the top of the leaderboard, have replaced Mario Little with Mychal Ammons.
Texters coach Jong Uichico confirmed the move on the eve of their match against Blackwater on Saturday.
“We just thought we needed a big,” Uichico said in a text message. “Nothing against the performance of Mario.”
Little has showed flashes of brilliance, but has mostly thrived in the wings, reason for the Texters tapping an inside presence in the 24-year-old Ammons, who’s listed at 6’4” and last played in the Mexican league after going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft.
