NLEX has turned its sights to the PBA Governors’ Cup, looking to bring in its import early after a forgettable Commissioner’s Cup campaign.
After the Road Warriors suffered their ninth successive setback on Friday, a 114-108 decision at the hands of San Miguel Beer, coach Yeng Guiao bared that he already has found a reinforcement in Aaron Fuller, an undersized power forward out of University of Southern California.
“Two games na lang yung natitira sa amin, we really dont have the chance to make it to the playoffs,” Guiao said. “So we're using the next two games, actually the next two months to prepare ourselves to be a lot better compared to what we have accomplished this conference.”
“We're bringing in our import early, maybe last week of May or early June so that we can practice with him early,” he added.
The 27-year-old Fuller, listed at 6-6, went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft and last played in the Mexican pro league.
