BARANGAY Ginebra's representatives in the Gilas Pilipinas pool were excused from joining practice on Monday night at the Meralco gym.

Greg Slaughter, Japeth Aguilar, and LA Tenorio were reduced into spectators on the eve of Ginebra's PBA Philippine Cup road game against Meralco in Biñan, Laguna on Tuesday.

"Pahinga lang muna," said Tenorio, whose team is playing its second game in three days on Tuesday after losing to San Miguel Beer last Sunday.

The Gin Kings stars joined Rain or Shine's Paul Lee (knee) and Jeff Chan (ankle) on the sidelines.

June Mar Fajardo and Marc Pingris were also excused as they had to attend a previous engagement, an SMB commerical with host Vic Sotto.

In their absence, Talk 'M Text rookie Mo Tautuaa joined the practices for the first time after serving as a back-up to naturalized player Andray Blatche ahead of Gilas' stint in the 2015 Fiba-Asia Championship.
