DENZEL Bowles has been cleared to play for Purefoods in the PBA Commissioner's Cup match against Barangay Ginebra on Sunday after he was officially measured at 6-8 3/16, just three shades below the 6-9 import height limit.
Bowles, who led Purefoods to the 2012 Commissioner's Cup championship, was measured at the PBA office on Saturday afternoon in the presence of representatives from Rain or Shine, Alaska, NLEX and Talk 'N Text.
He is set to make his debut on Sunday against Ginebra to take the place of Daniel Orton, who was given the axe by Purefoods after a post-game rant against referees and Manny Pacquiao that cost him P250,000 in fines.
