AS it turned out, Antoine Wright proved to be the wrong import for Rain or Shine.

With time obviously running out, the Elasto Painters management decided to give Wright the pink slip and will instead parade a new reinforcement in Mo Charlo come the team’s vital PBA Commissioner’s Cup game against streaking San Miguel Beer this Friday.

The 32-year-old Charlo, who is undrafted in the NBA, flew in early Tuesday morning.

A native of Eureka, California, Charlo mostly plied his trade in the NBA D-League, but is coming off a stint with Hamamatsu Phoenix in the Japanese J-league.

He played with the D-League All-Stars in 2014 and was part of the D-League All-Defensive First Team during that same season.

Rain or Shine lost three of its four outings with Wright as import to tumble down the standings with a 2-4 record.

Wright came in as a replacement for former Best Import Wayne Chism, who suffered a pulled hamstring.
