ALASKA went full throttle in the fourth quarter to beat Rain or Shine, 110-97, on the final day of the PBA preseason pocket tournament at the Upper Deck Gym in Pasig City.

Calvin Abueva led the Aces' attack with 19 points, including the jumper with 2:30 minutes remaining that gave them a comfortable 106-95 cushion.

Rookie Jeron Teng scored 15 points while Ronald Pascual and Vic Manuel chipped in 12 points apiece for the Aces, who wrapped up the mini-tournament with a 1-2 win-loss card.

"We're still a work in progress," said Alaska coach Alex Compton.

Rain or Shine, meanwhile, absorbed its lone defeat in three matches while playing without Jericho Cruz, James Yap and Raymund Almazan.

Ed Dacquioag topscored for the Elasto Painters with 18 points while Maverick Ahanmisi and Chris Tiu each had 13.
