NASH Racela didn't get away with his remark about San Miguel getting entitlement from game officials for being defending PBA Philippine Cup champions.
The TnT Katropa coach was slapped a P20,00 fine by the league for his post-game comment following his team’s Valentine’s Day loss against the Beermen, 97-86, in Game Four of the best-of-seven semifinals series.
Larry Fonacier was fined the same amount, sources added, for 'physically contacting a game official.'
In all, the Texters were handed out P50,400 in fines.
Racela wasn’t summoned to the Office of the Commissioner, but nonetheless was penalized for his comment ‘detrimental to the league,’ according to media bureau chief Willie Marcial.

His statement obviously irked the SMC group that San Miguel sports director Alfrancis Chua held a mini-press conference at halftime of Game Five Thursday to belie the notion.
Racela made no effort to deny the fine meted on him by the Commissioner's Office when he was asked about it after the game, which the Texters won, 101-94.
“Less is more. Less talk is better,” he said smiling.
