Kobe Paras makes brief appearance as Creighton scores wire-to-wire win over DePaul to snap skid

CREIGHTON started hot and never let up, arresting a two-game slide with an 83-66 rout of DePaul on Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska (Sunday, Manila time).

Khyri Thomas scored 18 points on 7 of 14 shooting, while Marcus Foster made 6 of 14 field goal attempts and wound up with 15 points as the Bluejays notched their 19th win in 22 games overall.

Kobe Paras had a brief appearance and made one assist for Creighton, which now holds a 6-3 record in the Big East.

Paras set up fellow reserve Jordan Scurry for a three-pointer towards the endgame.

Creighton had scored eight before DePaul scored the made its first basket and the BLuejays were never threatened,

It was the first win by the Bluejays since Maurice Watson suffered a season-ending knee injury.

The Blue Demons absorbed their fourth straight loss and 13th in 21 outings.

Billy Garrett Jr. scored 18 points on 6 of 10 shooting, including 4 of 5 from the three-point line for DePaul, which suffered its seventh loss in eight Big East matches.

Brandon Cyrus came up with 12 points, making two of seven field goal attempts.
