KIA Motors stand-in coach Glenn Capacio declined to comment on rumors that he is on the way out, but admitted he has been 'kept in the dark' about team developments since the end of the expansion ballclub's campaign in the PBA Philippine Cup.

The former Purefoods defensive stalwart promised to talk 'in due time.'

“Di ko talaga alam ano ang nangyayari sa KIA, pero in due time magsasalita ako,” was Capacio's response to Spin.ph on Friday when asked about his status in the team.

The 50-year-old bench tactician has been running the team since training camp began last August while playing coach Manny Pacquiao focused on his world title fight against American Chris Algieri in November.

Capacio continued to call the shots for the Sorento even after Pacquiao's return, with the team losing 10 successive games after its lone win on opening day against fellow rookie club Blackwater.

Meanwhile, KIA team manager Eric Pineda declined to comment on Capacio’s status, saying it's too early to talk about it since the mid-season Commissioner's Cup is still one month away.

“No comment (on Capacio’s status). Matagal pa naman ang simula ng next conference,” he said.

However, the KIA team official commended the Sorento for displaying a big, fighting heart in the Philippine Cup despite lacking in experience.

“Okay naman ang team, di ba? First of all, we don’t expect anything (this season). Eh maganda naman ang pinakita ng mga players namin,” he added.

The Sorento hope to come out with a stronger showing in the Commissioner’s Cup after agreeing to terms with Puerto Rican giant Peter John Ramos.

Incidentally, Capacio talked about his desire to tap Iran giant Hamed Haddadi before management decided to focus its import recruitment on Ramos.

Ramos, listed 7-3 at Fiba’s official website, played briefly for Washington after being selected 32nd overall by the Wizards in the 2004 NBA Draft.
