BARANGAY Ginebra superstar Mark Caguioa’s appearance in next week’s PBA All-Star game is suddenly in doubt after hurting his left hip in a collision with Blackwater rookie guard Brian Heruela on Wednesday night.

Caguioa had a solid game in an 89-82 win over Blackwater on Wednesday, contributing 15 points and seven rebounds. But he was forced to sit out the final stretch after the collision with Heruela midway through the final quarter.

“I hope I can recover right away, but it’s okay. Sa banggaan 'yun kay Heruela, eh ang laki ng puwet nun eh,” Caguioa said while limping out of the team’s dugout at the Big Dome.

Caguioa refused to speculate on the extent of his injury, saying he’ll undergo an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) on Thursday.

The former league MVP, however, is not expected to miss games for Ginebra since the team will be having a two-week break while the league holds its annual All-Star weekend in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
