COLLEGE of St. Benilde proved to be steadier down the stretch as it hacked out a 94-84 overtime victory over Emilio Aguinaldo College in the NCAA Season 93 on Thursday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

Clement Leutcheu and Edward Dixon led a 12-0 blast as they zoomed to a commanding 92-81 lead inside the final two minutes of the extension.

The Blazers looked pretty much on the way to a win after Unique Naboa knocked down big shots in regulation.

Graduating EAC forward Sydney Onwubere, however, had other plans as he drained a three pointer with 19.2 ticks left to send the game into extension.

All that did was just to prolong the agony for the Generals as they went sour on offense, allowing the Blazers to breeze to end their four game losing streak.

The Blazers improved to 4-13 for the season with a game to spare as the Generals continued their spiral towards the end, falling to 6-11 after dropping their fifth straight game.

"Well, we never really thought ourselves na out na kami at ayaw na namin maglaro. As athletes every single game dapat kami mag-improve, magdagdag repertoire sa game namin," said St. Benilde coach TY Tang

"It's about improving oursevelves individually and playing together because after this season, it's still a team next year," he added.

Leutcheu notched a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds as Dixon added 19 points and 11 boards.

Naboa chipped in 13 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Blazers as JJ Domingo came off the bench to score 10 and dish out seven assists.
