MIKE Conley is expected to miss at least six to eight weeks after he was found to have multiple fractures on his lower back, an injury he suffered in Memphis’ loss against Charlotte on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time).

Grizzlies.com’s Michael Wallace said the team will re-evaluate Conley’s progress in a month as the injury is non-critical and can be resolved with rest.

Conley is the second of three max-players on the Grizzlies team on the injury list, joining Chandler Parsons who has an injured knee. Zach Randolph is also on a personal leave due to the death of his mother, while Brandan Wright and Ennis are recovering from ankle and calf injuries, respectively.

Memphis signed Conley to the biggest overall deal in NBA history this offseason, with a five-year $153 million max contract. Conley has responded with a career year, putting up a personal-best 19.2 points and 5.7 assists per game to lead the Grizzlies.
