WITH the clock ticking on the Cleveland Cavaliers to make use of their biggest trading chip, the Eastern powerhouse is said to be now exploring a possible deal with the Los Angeles Clippers for Jamal Crawford.
The Cavaliers, earlier reported to be in talks with the Brooklyn Nets for a trade deal involving Joe Johnson, is looking to take advantage of Haywood’s non-guaranteed contract for next season.

The team that holds the Haywood contract has until only August 1 to waive him and be free from the $10.5 million he is supposed to be getting in 2015-2016.
And with the deal involving the Nets and Johnson and his hefty $24 million still to be made final, the Cavaliers are now checking out other options.

The Clippers deal is simpler, according to ESPN, and would not require the Cavs to part ways with Anderson Varejao.
