TERRENCE Romeo and six others were excused by coach Chot Reyes from joining Gilas Pilipinas' practice on Tuesday night at the Meralco gym.
Reyes gave all the seven players the break as they are set to suit up on Wednesday in the final PBA Commissioner's Cup playdate prior to the Holy Week break.
GlobalPort plays NLEX while Rain or Shine takes on Phoenix on Wednesday.
"Those who have games are excused on their game day and the day before," explained Reyes.
Aside from Romeo, those who watched practice from the sidelines were Von Pessumal, Raymond Almazan, Matthew Wright, Norbert Torres, and Pons Gotladera.
Only Bradwyn Guinto was not present the playing venue.
Rain or Shine rookie Mike Tolomia, meanwhile, still opted to join the team when it did its regular drills despite having a game to play the next game.
