ANDRAY Blatche looked in good shape when he showed up in the Gilas Pilipinas practice for the first time on Saturday at the Kerry’s Gym at The Fort.

Concerns over Blatche’s condition have gone away as soon as the naturalized player showed up for practice as well as the unveiling of the new Gilas kits after arriving late Friday night.

Blatche looked in much better shape compared to when he joined Gilas clearly overweight and out of shape during the preparation for the Fiba Asia Championship in Changsha, China last year.

"He looks better," said Gilas coach Tab Baldwin of his naturalized player after seeing the former Washington Wizards and Brooklym Nets for the first time this year.

In an ambush interview, Blatche refused to make an assessment of himself as he joined Gilas' preparation for the Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Manila in July.

“I don’t know. I just got here. It’s my first day here,” Blatche said.
