CALVIN Abueva thanked fans for their support to Gilas Pilipinas in the Southeast Asian Basketball Association (Seaba) Championship by giving away the shoes he wore in the gold-medal game against Indonesia on Thursday night.

In the din of the celebration after Gilas’ 97-64 rout of the Indonesians that capped their six-game sweep, Abueva threw his size 14 Nike Hypershift pair in the direction of the Ultras Filipinas in the upper box section, a show of gratitude for their boundless energy cheering the national team on.

The Alaska star even gave away his pair of game-worn socks on the other side of the court when fans asked for them when he was on his way back to the dugout.

Congrats to the lucky fans who caught the pair of shoes.
